How to choose one
- Count your cleanings. If you go twice a year, a one-cleaning plan leaves you paying for the second; a two-cleaning plan may be worth more.
- Read the discount. 10% off versus 25–40% off is the difference between a $1,200 crown costing $1,080 or $780.
- Check X-rays. Some plans include a full set annually; some include only emergency X-rays.
- Location wins. The plan only works at that practice. Pick one you'll actually get to.
- Ask about family pricing. Several practices price couples and children separately.
